Valentino Achak Deng, subject of the WT Readership 2008 book: What Is The What by Dave Eggers
Valentino Achak Deng is one of 20,000 Lost Boys of Sudan. In What Is The What, he talks about his flight from his native village to escape millitary soldiers by travelling over 1,000 miles by foot, and the hardships to find a safe place to call home.
This even is free and open to the public.
Seating begins at 4:15pm, the event begins at 5:00pm.
At 6:30pm patrons are welcome to attend a ticketed reception with Mr. Deng in the Buffalo Club Room of the First United Bank Center. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance.

Come celebrate 'Bringing Home the Herd' Homecoming 2008 with country music's leading piano man, Phil Vassar. Kicking off the show is 2007 and 2008 CMA top female vocalist of the year nominee, Kellie Pickler.
Tickets available beginning Monday, September 8th at 10:00am. WT students receive one $15.00 discount on any seat of their choice. Ticket prices are $25 to $55 and all seating is reserved. Buy your tickets early to assure you get a great seat!
